Blues Night 2007 Details & Sponsorship Information

2nd Annual CHITTA Golf Tournament and BBQ Dinner– Saturday, May 26, 2007
CHITTA's second Annual Golf Tournament and BBQ dinner will be held at the St. Laurent Golf Course just outside of Quebec City on Ile d'Orleans, on Saturday, May 26, 2007.  The tournament, held the day before the eHealth pre workshops and conference, is open to all Healthcare IT professionals, CHITTA members and their guests.  We encourage CHITTA members to take advantage of the day by bringing and/or inviting potential clients, friends and colleagues to the tournament. This event is an excellent opportunity to network with your peers, friends and colleagues in the Canadian healthcare informatics industry.

There are no sponsorship opportunities offered for this tournament, however prize donations and give-a-ways, are accepted for the typical Men's and Ladies longest drive, longest putt, etc.

The Canadian Health Informatics Awards Gala
On behalf of the professionals and organizations of Canada’s healthcare informatics community, CHITTA, the Health Division of ITAC, is again pleased and proud to sponsor the second Canadian Health Informatics Awards Gala in cooperation with COACH.

This event will acknowledge and honor the contributions and commitment individuals have made to health informatics. The awards gala will be held in Toronto on November 16, 2006.

CHITTA has established four awards to recognize excellence among Canadian healthcare ICT companies: Company of the Year Award, Corporate Citizenship Award, Project Implementation Team of the Year Award, and the Healthcare Transformation Award..

We are proud to announce that CHITTA will continue the tradition as an Official Co-sponsor of HIMSS 2008. This year the HIMSS conference and exhibit will be held in Orlando, Florida from February 24 - to February 28, 2008.

ITAC and CHITTA Merge to Create a Single Healthcare ICT Voice
CHITTA, the Canadian Healthcare Information Technology Trade Association and ITAC, the Information Technology Association of Canada, and have announced that they will merge to create one single industry association. Collectively they will represent over 100 companies producing information and communications technology solutions for the health sector. The merger will combine ITAC’s strengths in advocacy, communication and administration, with CHITTA’s specific focus and industry knowledge in health, to create one strong, consistent voice for the industry. CHITTA will operate as a division of ITAC and CHITTA’s board will be expanded to ensure representation of the entire membership. The expanded board will continue to set and oversee the health ICT agenda.
